SURVEY PRIVACY NOTICE – Doing Good Ltd

Doing Good Ltd (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data and being transparent about how we use it. This privacy notice explains how we process data collected through our Christmas Giving Survey.

We are the data controller for all information collected via this survey.

2. What data we collect

Through the survey, we collect:

a) Survey responses
Most survey questions are anonymous and do not require any identifying information. These responses are used only for research and analysis.

b) Email address (optional)
If you choose to enter the prize draw, you will be asked to provide your email address.

  • Your email address will be stored temporarily alongside your survey responses.

  • It will be separated and permanently deleted after the prize draw concludes.

  • Your email address will not be shared with any charity or external organisation.

We do not collect special category (sensitive) data.

3. Why we collect your data (lawful basis)

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Legitimate interests – for analysing anonymous survey responses to understand Christmas giving behaviours.

  • Consent – if you choose to enter the prize draw by providing your email address.

4. Who we share your data with

  • Survey responses:
    When a participant completes the survey via a charity’s bespoke link, we will share anonymised survey responses only with that charity. No email addresses or identifying data are ever shared.

  • Email address:
    Never shared with charities or external organisations. Used only to administer the prize draw.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Email addresses (prize draw entries): kept only until the final prize draw is completed and the winner has been confirmed, then permanently deleted.

  • Anonymised survey responses: may be retained for reporting and analysis with no time limit, as they no longer identify individuals.

6. How we keep your data secure

Your data is stored in secure, access-restricted systems. Email addresses are exported and separated manually after the prize draw and securely deleted. Only authorised individuals at Doing Good Ltd can access the prize-draw data before deletion.

7. Your data rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Request correction

  • Request deletion

  • Withdraw consent (for prize draw entry)

  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

PRIZE DRAW TERMS & CONDITIONS – Doing Good Ltd

Promoter:
Doing Good Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 13668554), with its registered office at Suite 1, The Courtyard, The Old Monastery, Windhill, Bishop's Stortford, CM23 2ND

1. Eligibility

Open to UK residents aged 18 or over, except employees of Doing Good Ltd, participating charities, their families, agents, or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.

2. How to enter

To enter, participants must complete the Christmas Giving Survey and provide their email address in the prize draw section.

  • Entries must be submitted before 11:58am (UK time) on the day of each draw.

  • Late entries roll forward to the next draw (where applicable).

  • One entry per person per draw.

  • No purchase or payment necessary.

3. Draw schedule and prizes

There will be three separate prize draws, each with one £50 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card:

  • Friday 28 November 2025 – midday

  • Tuesday 30 December 2025 – midday

  • Friday 23 January 2026 – midday

Each winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received before the relevant deadline.

Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.

4. Winner notification

Winners will be notified by email within two working days of each draw and must respond within five working days to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond in time, Doing Good Ltd reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

5. Data protection

Doing Good Ltd is the data controller for the prize draw.

  • Email addresses are collected solely for prize draw administration and winner contact.

  • They are stored temporarily alongside survey responses, then separated and permanently deleted once the prize draw is complete.

  • Email addresses are not shared with participating charities or any third party.

  • Anonymised survey responses may be shared with charities for insight purposes.

Processing is carried out in accordance with Doing Good Ltd’s Privacy Policy:

6. Publicity

Winners agree that their first name and county may be published in winner announcements. No other personal information will be published.

7. General

Doing Good Ltd may cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where necessary.
The decision of Doing Good Ltd is final and binding.
These terms are governed by English law, and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
